Because more youtube hits = money. This is because advertisers pay popular channel owners to advertise on those channels.

Universal, Sony, and RCA want/need money just like everyone else.

They probably don't have much to lose since they're quickly becoming irrelevant and obsolete and because everybody just steals their product and shares it online anyway.
