If I threatened to ban someone, let them mull over it for a week, and then decided not to do it, would I be helping that person?

So the answer is "yes, but only if you had a stroke first."

The insurance companies are a part of the problem, but that's not evidence of the policy being well thought out. That achille's heel didn't land there by accident.

It's a step in the right direction but needs serious rewriting. I'm not saying that a GOP-sponsored bill will be the correct way to go about it, but the ACA as it stands is not sustainable in the slightest and sets us up for more corporate insurance control.

Same here. That doesn't mean that it is not a poorly structured approach to socialized healthcare. Also, think more of the big picture, not just what affects you.

Jesus. Just stop. You know damn well I'm a big picture type of person. No need to try and make up a jab just to get your yucks.

And remember, a lot of what's hurting with the ACA is related to what the GOP made them remove from it before it getting to Obama's desk.

It wasn't a joke, jab, or even rude tbh. Just saying that bringing up how it affects you personally is not very indicative of a federal law that has many different facets and doesn't consistently help or hurt people. When you don't make big picture statements, you don't come across as having a big picture view on that issue. If you consider that offensive then so be it.
