And the tea party has now been absorbed by the alt right. For a large portion of a country that's ridiculously partisan right now, they simply will not vote for a democrat because they will take away their guns, strongly fight to keep the separation of church and state (heathens), advocate murdering babies in their own backyards, and take away your job and give it to a Mexican. There's really no more nuance in regard to real policy, it's all about boiler plate issues for many, many people in this country.

Lolol if you think that the alt right stole a significant number of people from the tea party, you understand neither.

I read this yesterday. A record of all the things Trump has undone since in office.

![]() ![]() The alt-right is big on white nationalism (a fancy word for racism). Of course as the Tea Party fizzled a lot of members gravitated over to the much more popular and powerful alt-right movement. What's so hard to understand?

Even if you have no love for HC, it was clear at the time that she wouldn't have let loose on America the kind of ****storm that Trump was promising. Voting for a lesser evil may leave you with an unsatisfactory feeling of compromise, but it can still effectively block a greater evil and oftentimes in politics that alone is a significant achievement. Unfortunately in 2016 not enough voters saw it that way.

Actually, there are plenty of reasons to bother, the main one being pointed out by the guy who said, "The only thing needed for evil to triumph is for a few good men to do nothing." And getting back to the news of the day, I see that Trump has pardoned Joe Arpeio. This is a very sinister development because of the message the President is sending; "You can abuse the power of your office and break the law, but if you're on my side I'll give you impunity." I'm sure that point will not be lost on plenty of other bullying racist officials. Impunity like that for over-zealous officials is one of the reasons that Mexico is unable to shake off the corruption that runs through its politics, and Trump has just taken the US one step closer to a repressive sham third-world democracy. I hope the US doesn't go any furthur down that road, because once blatant top-down corruption is in the system, rather like pee in a swimming pool, it's difficult to take it out again. Perhaps some non-voters will learn a lesson in time for the next election; that even if all politicians are corrupt, some will damage your society, government and the environment much more than others - and by voting you can block the most toxic candidates.

You have to look hard to find a more disgusting capitalist than Hillary but America managed to do it. The fact that I hate Trump much more doesn't change the fact that I still would love kick Hillary's cackling teeth in.
Btw, keep up the good work, Burma Quote:

Clinton has been part of the political machine in one way or another for 28 years (don't bother with your typically jaded "and that's the problem" cliched comeback). 8 years as first lady to a Governor. 8 years as first lady to a President and the first to have an office in the west wing. She was totally hands on the whole time. What do you think Bill and Hillary's pillow talk was all about those 16 years? Then 8 years as a US senator working alongside many of the members who are still serving - on both sides of the aisle. Then 4 years as Secretary of State - traveling the world on behalf of Obama trying to right GWBs wrongs and rubbing elbows with the globe's top people of power. 28 years experience of knowing how things work. How things get gridlocked, and what compromises need to be made, and whose backs need to be scratched in order to get the big picture policy changes through. At his very core Bernie is a good guy. His ideolgies align with mine in almost every way. But in order to get some spotlight time he had to go out on a limb and toss out some ideas that fired up his base, but wouldn't have stood a chance of getting through the House and Senate. Fox Henhouse. It's really that simple. So assuming that Clinton would have run into the same gridlock that Sanders would have, and Trump currently is, is completely naive. Clinton Hate 101 Mr. Frown.
