Should have clarified then. Even if he was, it was 100% inappropriate. There are times for jokes, this was not one of them.

It was definitely inappropriate (and a shit joke).

If I remember correctly Charles was doing it as well but was actually being quite funny with it.

Domestic Terrorism

Domestic terrorism in the United States consists of incidents confirmed as terrorist acts. These attacks are considered domestic because they were carried out by U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.

If firing automatic weapons from above into a crowd of 25,000 people doesn't fit the definition of terror, then what does?

Went to bed late last night thinking for certain that I'd wake up to news about radical Islamic terrorists. Was surprised when I read about the shooter.

But then again, why was I? The top eight worst mass shootings in US history were not carried out in the name of Islam.

And prior to 9/11, the worst mass killing (Oklahoma City) was planned and carried out by a redneck who was pissed of at the goverment over Waco.

Not called a terrorist?

It's just a Twitter meme the point scorers start posting as soon as it comes out the killer is white.

You appear to have forgotten every school shooting where the "point scorers" were 100% right. It's cool though.

School shootings, theater shootings and other church shootings. They never want to say domestic terrorist either. They prefer to say lone wolf attack. I have heard 3 reporters saying lone wolf attack instead of domestic terrorist.

terrorism directly refers to acts with political aims, correct? mass murdering lunatics doesn’t = terrorists.

idk the dude’s intentions or backrounds and i hate having this conversation but i’m genuinely confused as to why this is immediately being called an act of terrorism.

Getting back at society (not sure if it applies but it seems to be a common thread) is a political aim, isn't it?

was that his intention? i haven’t heard anything that would make me believe anything other than this man being a total nut job who snapped. i definitely could be wrong, and feel free to provide me with evidence if that is the case, but this is more a general comment on the discussion than this exact situation.

oh, didnt catch the part in brackets. yes, i agree.

I'm hearing that an automatic weapon was used, and if that's the case I wouldn't be surprised if the death toll reached 100 by the end of the day.

I understand fully why Las Vegas is getting all the coverage - most victims, most deaths, highest profile location, and of course it's in America - but it kind of sickens me that this, equally abhorrent (and ISIS inspired) attack is relegated to a footnote in the news.

Marseille attack: Two young women stabbed to death - BBC News

I mean, this **** wasn't content with killing one young woman, he had to come back to do it again, which was his undoing as he got shot by the French Police who were ready for this sort of thing. Poor girls: just waiting for a train and some ****ing nutjob comes for them with a knife. This needs more coverage.
