I won't get into a [MERIT]-style argument with you over aliens, but I think there's plenty of evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence so I'm not sure where you get that from. Either way, what about aliens who evolve beyond physical bodies into a higher state of being? Surely they, if they exist, would not destroy each other?
