Yup, and they shouldn't be, either. Can banks charge LGBT folks higher interest rates or refuse their money? Can car insurance companies charge higher premiums or offer no service? Some of these things are essential, not just baked goods.

Actually, I just don’t think it’s as simple as a lot people are making it out to be. Either way there’s a loss.
It's pretty damn black and white. You need secular laws to govern businesses because otherwise you open the door to discrimination. Not ****ing rocket science.

Religious and labor rights are also important.

Maajo 01-06-2018 08:50 PM

Religious rights shouldn't be protected for business or in government, because businesses and governments aren't people. Labor rules don't even come into play since the services are to be equal. Like I said, these secular rules have to apply for the sake of equality and they're pretty damn simple unless you're trying to complicate them in order to achieve some sort of agenda.

If someone has to do something they don’t want to do at work it’s a labor issue.

No it isn't. If I don't want to scan someone's items or give someone their food where I work because they're black it's a "get the **** over it" issue because we've already established the precedent of equality over ignorance in this country. You can deal with it like everyone else or you can live in Russia or something but I hear it's pretty ****ing cold and they might treat you different.

Live in Russia?

You wouldn’t happen to still be in high school, would you?

Unfortunately, they probably do, but who knows what they may put in that cake

Yeah, that is an issue. Way back, some guy was telling me that in his religion (a Christian sect), he would go to Hell if he didn't convert enough people to his religion. Yeah, a few of these people are kind of scary.
