Public broadcaster music library closing, CDs to be digitised, destroyed

Quote:

The main French-language production centre of Radio-Canada in Montreal has also been digitising its collection. However, recently it was revealed that most of the collection of over 200,000 CDs will be destroyed when the process is completed in 2019 and prior to the move to new quarters in 2020. The destroyed materials apparently will be recycled.

[...]

The executive also noted in a Radio-Canada story that they can’t give away the rest of the discs without first verifying the copyright situation, adding that doing that for the whole collection would be a far too expensive and time-consuming task. Another option of putting the collection in storage would also be too expensive.
Time for a heist. Who's down to be a member of MB's 11

The NSA is also tasked with the protection of U.S. communications networks and information systems. The NSA relies on a variety of measures to accomplish its mission, the majority of which are clandestine.

Wait, is not saying a thing that doesn't need to be said a smoking gun?

Duh. There's a history book for every narrative.

Yeah, but I meant the ones in American classrooms, not some Howard Zinn book.

I'm gonna go with no on that one. Though I guess it depends on what you're comparing it to.

The Batlord 02-27-2018 04:17 PM

As if American history books will ever make America look bad. They'll give "equal time" to both sides of the story and kids will end up thinking that Trump had both good and bad points. Which sounds sarcastic in favor of Trump, but, like, **** him?
