How the **** would that gridlock be a different scenario for Hillary?

Bernie is the most popular politician in the US. He would have mopped the floor with Trump. The whole "but he old" and "Hillary is the only one who could possibly win" rhetoric swayed too many people at the last minute, along with the general idiocy of the general public and people actually believing the snake oilsman's ****.

I will never be able to vote for a politician that runs on a platform that makes the NRA, the Pro-Life Bible thumping folks, and the big banks and wall street people really, really happy. Sames goes for those who deny global warming and who want to relax EPA and OSHA regulations so that billionare businessmen can reep even more profits.

That pretty much eliminates 95% of Republicans including everyone who was on the GOP ticket this go around.

So that left Bernie and Hillary. Bernie being elected would have been like tossing a badger into the henhouse. He most likely would have run into the same obstruction as Trump has so far. He ran a campaign that tugged at a lot of people's ideals of how they'd like things to be - but just ask Trump about the reality of what happens once you actually hold the position.

That left Clinton. She's pro-choice, is for reasonable gun control, in favor of Wall Street regulations, believes in Global warming, and supports protecting the environement. She's got a ton of experience navigating the henhouse, has the respect of a lot of world leaders from her 4 years as secretary of state, and even if they won't say in front of a camera, has the respect of a lot of foxes.

Least full dumpster from where I sit.
Except, regardless of what you claim, you still were hard on her clit for months. Anytime anyone said anything against her whatsoever you would descend upon them like a Trump supporter. As far as I'm concerned the only options are either to say **** it and observe the whole nightmare with detached amusement or pick up a gun. Or I guess have kids and subvert your brain for the sake of feeling like you're voting in their best interest.

Not on Capitol Hill. You really think Senators and House members were going to pass any of his bills that were going to hit them in the pocket? Take off the rose colored glasses.

Anytime someone spouted BS claims they got from Fox or Trump. Again, "Lock her up", "crooked Hillary", "she's an enabler", "emails!!!!!!!", "BENGHAZI!!!!!!!!!!!".

28 years on the political stage and never had a single charge filed against her - even though the GOP has spent millions and millions trying to find anything to pin on her.

Quote:
The special congressional investigation into the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi is officially over now that the panel filed its final report the day before the House adjourned for the year.

The Select Committee on Benghazi initially released its findings in June but remained in place for months afterward trying to declassify supporting documents like emails and interview transcripts for public release.

The final report, not including dissenting views from committee Democrats, clocks in at more than 322,000 words. It was added to the official House record without fanfare on Dec. 7 by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., the panel’s chairman.

The panel, which spent more than $7.8 million over two and a half years, disbanded at the end of the 114th Congress, before a new Congress begins in January.

You're basically strawmanning the entire forum cause nobody here spouts talk radio jargon. We just never liked her because she's an establishment tool as much as any mainstream democrat. And yet anytime any of us even hinted at not liking her, there you'd be, carrying water and degrading yourself.

I never said this.

The notness of the rhetoric in this election was just ****ing obnoxious. Any valid point about either candidate would be countered with a bunch of herpaflerping not on that valid point, but on how ****ty the other person was.

If everyone had just regarded every candidate with their proper level of distaste then nobody would have become excited about anything and just trolled the entire election by voting for Vermin Supreme. And then reality would be as psychedelic as it should be.

BS. There was a lot of it here during the run up to election night.

No here spouts talking points and I'm sucking on HC's clit. OK BAT, if you say so.

In 2016 the Dems gained two senate seats And Clinton got 3 million more votes than Trump. If things keep going the way they are right now the Dems will gain control of the senate in 2018. If Trump's numbers stay where they are right now there's not a GOP congressman up for re-election who will want to be associated with him in any way next year.

Not exactly getting its ass handed to them. The Dems just need to identify a solid candidate to start hitting the road in advance of 2020.

The GOP is the party that's self destructing right now. You have a president and House Majority Leader who haven't spoken to each since having a profanity laced shouting match on the phone over 2 weeks ago. Trump has taken to referring to his own part as "they" instead of "we". And every day another GOP congress member comes and disses him by name.

The guy simply has no clue about the decorum and dignity required of the office - he has a rally in Arizona and goes off-script to bash, in a thinnly veiled way, their senator of 30 years who's at home battling brain cancer.

And we still have the Mueller investigation results to look forward to.

Don't see Trump changing stripes anytime soon so I doubt he gets up over 35% approval ratings.

Like I said, the Dems have some time to identify their next candidate and refine their message. They'll be just fine.

Not blaming for the loss. Just saying it cost her some last minute fence sitters.

So were JWB and Roxy even posting at that time? Pretty sure they weren't. Anteater is just kind of the one guy who does that schtick now.
