The wars ended 23 years ago bro. You might as well say you don't want to live in Europe for what happened during WWII.

But just to be clear, the Balkans wouldn't be my go to choice for a permanent residence either. But you're still much more likely to be a victim of violent crime in the States than you are in the Balkans, is all I'm sayin'...
