If they didn't need to change, you wouldn't have multiple U.S. administrations using tear gas all across the border to deter people who may or may not actually be claiming asylum. Trump is continuing something that has existed long before either of us were around.

What the U.S. needs is much better procedures in place to deal with and process asylum seekers. But if hundreds of people are all pushing and trying to force themselves in, chaos is the only result you are going to get.

Uhhh, it's not a "great job" of an article. Like I said, you need to really look
at the what (and especially, the when) of it. Please sharpen your analytical
skills by yourself. I'm not going to tell you anything more about it.

I think you should try taking your own advice. There has been consistent use of tear gas for years, dropping off in 2015-2016 some. The point is, this is not a new thing. Oh, and go watch Tim Pool or someone equally credible who reviews multiple news sources on any given subject. You need to evaluate a few different sources of information on these stories, especially the emotionally charged ones where all available information isn't being put forward.
