@OH I agree.

But people who home invade will often kill you just not to leave a witness. If you catch a bullet home invading that's just the nature of the game.

I also don't own a gun and if I did I wouldn't carry it on the street that reason. But I understand the temptation.

When my dog barks I go straight for my revolver. She almost never barks unless someone is up near the only entrance. It’s always loaded. I got 5 chances.

I am not worried about an ass beating

If the other guy has a gun then my life is in his hands. That's the reality of it. You keep acting like it's paranoia but I've known people who were murdered.

Knowing how to defend yourself gives you the security that gun owners think a gun magically grants them.

I was being ironic with the karate bit, but if a gun is pointed at your face point blank, that's a much more vulnerable position for the shooter than you would think. You can wrestle it out of their hands and knee em in the crotch or try to slam their head into a wall during the process to incapacitate them. If they're across the room I highly doubt that they would be able to hit me tbh, I would try to split. My lack of faith in guns applies to when they're in the hands of another person too.

And they'll probably shoot you after you shoot them anyways.
