Because there's hardly any racism directed towards them anymore... simple. They're no longer suffering for being slaves.

There are plenty of people who hate Jews. Black people aren't slaves and we live in place where it's very realistic to make yourself if you really want to.

There are people who hate Jews, but comparing to the number of people that hate blacks is laughable. And I wasn't saying black people are still literally subjugated, but they're still suffering racism because they were seen as animals for so long.

We should have Middle Eastern month instead, compared to the racism against them racism against Blacks is laughable.

Proggy is right...there's an entire region of the world who wants the Jewish people (not just Israel) wiped off the face of the planet. This isn't even bringing into account the fact there's still Neo-Nazis out there and people who think the Jews control the world. I don't like going into "oh who has it worse" but saying Jewish people aren't suffering any sort of prejudice is just stupid.

Black history month is an American institution though, just because we started a Jewish history month doesn't mean the Middle East would follow suit.

And the racism against people from that region is fairly new born. It's sort of early to start thinking about making a month for them when we're still at war with them, isn't it?

actually, i believe january is asian history month. maybe. i know it was of that nature. there are other cultures celebrated in the months but not a lot of people are willing to look into them. not that a lot of people really celebrate any cultures other than their own anyways.

I am not minimizing the pain felt by other races. You and I both know black people have had it worse, and for longer, than any other race on the Earth.

We shouldn't even be arguing why other races should have their own month when you think black history month itself is a bad concept.
