Its kind of a mix of youre a d0uchebag, there are things we cant change in life no matter how stupid and ****ty they are, maybe if we had the same opinions on things in life you could be a killer dude in my eyes because were both over opinionated and forceful about it, and youre still on a level of 'that band is a sell out' and 'people do and say specific things to be cool and fit in' with a little love thrown in there. Put it in a blender, pour it into a glass and thats what im trying to say. I dont really know wtf im talking about, but you'll misconstrue(sp?) everything ive written and just pick out the d-bag part and ask me to explain it.

No one's trying to be superior, we're just trying to get some sense out of the guy. I recommend killing the pain of all this now and locking the thread as it's utterly pointless.

I think the TV is sending out a lot of mixed messages, especially to the young kids and teenagers. It always has, except that now, in the UK at any rate, the boundaries have been pushed a lot further back. Material which wasn't acceptable not so long ago is now regarded as normal viewing. I don't get the feeling that people here are paranoid; more like subtle brain-washing has re-defined how we are supposed to think and act in our every day lives.

I'm not saying were all zombies, I just think that there is more to it. Maybe its more subliminal you know. Maybe not direct, I don't know. I agree with a lot of you in here, I just wanna see if there is anything that you could call to be "soft" brainwashing.

What you refer to as "soft"-brainwashing, I would say this comes in the form of Soap Operas. All day and every day the same scenarios are played out,so that the constant negativity they show has become normal. When the same sort of stuff happens out on the street, people are a lot less shocked by it.
In Politics there are so many day-to-day situations arising that would be funny if they weren't so serious. We know that we can't control them though, and I think we've all become de-sensitised to them. If nothing else we've been brain-washed into accepting all this.
