Is the T.V. a brainwash device or are people just parnoid (magazine, shows)

You take every letter of every word I write and assume I'm angey or some crap. You say all kinds of mean **** to me on every reply and I have yet to be mean. Just because I might not use the most appealing analogy does not mean I dislike anyone. It means I am trying to get a point across.

You all assume that its anger, or making fun, or being above... Its really not, its about awarness, maybe thinking why it is we do these things, or why half of america watches american Idol. Why is reality tv so important to so many ppl, why would companies save the best commercials for the super bowl? We know why, all of us... This is about awareness. Opinions as well, but its really hard to deny that there is brainwashing or that it only affects the weak minded.

I just want you all to think before you post, (not about how right I am) (which is what I assume you (generally speaking) think I mean) I want you to really think about it. Let it settle. Then post up.

"Being honest" or "Just telling it like it is" are phrases I've come to despise, because now these phrases are what FoxNews and talk radio pundits use to pretty much justify any idiotic or prejudiced thing that comes out of their mouth. And you're doing the same thing.

I think you need to let this argument go since you refuse to apologise to Vanilla for insulting her, regardless of what your justification is, you're just gonna waste your time trying to convince anyone else that you're right.

Come on boo boo, think about how trained ppl are.. Its as if everyone has to make up excuses... I was basically making a point honestly it could be anything, but the crap smearing gets attention, why?

I will tell you why, the same reason that people put coffee cans on there car exhaust, put 20 inch rims on there cars, where ridiculous jewlery they cant really afford, fall into massive debt, but cellular phones with plans they can't afford, drive cars they can't afford... you can see it everywhere, its everywhere you look. People are more concearned with there "image" than they are with what matters most. Who declares that image? not you thats where the crap smearing comes into place, its an attempt to get your attention to what I am talking about.

Wanting to get attention is a basic aspect of human nature, it's not something the media invented. And you're obviously trying to get attention right now, so you're being hypocritical.

Also you're making no sense, you're saying that if someone dresses flamboyantly, they want attention, BUT they're doing it because the media tells them to.

Would you prefer it if we all dressed the same? Because you insulted her for not dressing like you, so you seem to be endorsing what you're saying you're rebelling against. Conformity.

And maybe just maybe, she just likes the way it looks and that's how she wants to express herself? It's not a stretch.

You need to put emphasis on peoples personal feelings before you insult their appearance. It's not being honest, it's being a jerk. These are opinions you have the right to have but when in the company of other people you should best keep that stuff to yourself.

You're not being a rebel, people say what you say all the time, on television and in movies, everything is corporate branded, including the kind of thing you're doing right now, it's utterly impossible to dress a certain way or do a certain thing that the media HASN'T cashed in on, that doesn't make you a conformist or an idiot for doing it anyway. Because people do have a choice from a variety of things, the media is not forcing anybody to dress up like a scenester. People are choosing to do it. And people, while they can certainly be influenced by the media, are not all stupid sheep like you're saying they are.

Fashion trends come and go, that has been the case since the history of man. Just about every art movement and every musical movement has had a fashion line to go with it, that's just the way it is. Kids are gonna dress different from old folks, we should accept that because we dressed differently from our parents, they dressed different from their parents, and so on. So if it's conformity because the media is selling it, eveyrone is a conformist, but that includes you and you have no right to insult other people for it. At the same time young generations are always embracing something new and different despite their parents wanting them to accept their own traditions, that is nonconformist in a way, and a normal part of human nature and the parent/child relationship.

I think you're just looking for an excuse to rant about something. I don't know what cause you're fighting for, but whatever it is, it doesn't give you license to be a jerk to people.
