Genetic mutation is random. Random mutation doesn't care about social issues.

Notice how children act when mommy dumps them off at some crappy day care on top of that, the fact that there sick all the time. I feel that its one thing if there a single parent with a child but if you could potentially stay at home and raise your own kids, or go to a job to further add to your gluten lifestyle, you should raise your own damn kids.
Yes that makes sense (not), because during this credit crunch where more than ever both parents to need to work to manage being able to live, how the hell can they afford to drop a job and take care of the kids? I think it's one less stress to drop them off at daycare where they learn very important skills such as social interaction, discipline, and how to treat other kids.

If you have problems with your f-ing credit its not because of your kids its because you would rather have a new designer purse(piss poor with money).. Its only obvious your worried about appearance via your avatar... You are a complete media tool..

Doesn't feel good getting called out miss money bags does it?

Considering I'm a student living on $250 a week I really must be buying designer handbags instead of taking care of the imaginary kids I have.

Why don't you go get drunk by yourself and make a thread about wanting to be banned again? Oh that's right you have kids, great example you're setting arn't you?
This thread's going to get closed.

Well maybe certain people should not take it off track, and contribute intelligently?

If you're talking about me, I did. I just wanted to point out that the thread's most likely going to get closed because member(s) are attacking another member. Though it's Yukon, who apparently isn't favored much from what I've seen, but once again I just wanted to point out the obvious : )

You can go back to contributing intelligently.

I wasn't meaning you

Anyway, moving on, daycare is definitely useful, I loved daycare so much I screamed and cried every day dad picked me up. But in another sense, the after daycare relationship must be maintained, because reading to children before bed is absolutely key. I jumped 3-4 reading levels right through primary school.

When considering gender roles, I have to say from what I've seen, some men really don't take a big role in taking care of children. For those who are bread winners they seem to think that's where their contribution ends. Does anyone else get this impression?

I do, and it's understandable. If the dad is the breadwinner and the mom is unemployed (say she's in maternity leave) then the responsibility should fall to the woman. Not fully, of course, but if there was a percentage then say the woman gets 80% of the responsibility, especially if the dad is working a job that demands a lot of hours in a day.

Thing is, it's the same if the woman was the breadwinner, or should be, at least. That instance is rare, however, because the woman can go on maternity leave while the dad can't (correct me if I'm wrong). But even if a couple can go on maternity leave, the woman has to breastfeed the child, which means that if there's ever a point where the mom and dad must be separated, then the mother has to take care of the child because she's the source of the child's food, at least for the first little while.

So it's understandable if the dad is the breadwinner and the mom has to stay at home. For the first few years, she almost doesn't have a choice. I have a friend who has a baby now and her boyfriend is the one who works while she stays home all day and looks after the child, making sure that she's okay and fed and whatnot. It's very demanding.
