Hitchcock is one of the few acceptable answers to 'who is the greatest director of all time?'. Psycho is clearly a lot better than Jaws, but then I'd say Vertigo and Notorious are better than them both.

Hitchcock is great. For contemporary, I like Lynch and Kubrick.

2 hours.

I'm jaded because I got to watch it at a drive in in the summer when it first came out and people were freaking out.

All of his films are worth watching (from what I've seen) except for Rebecca.

Ever seen Peeping Tom came out the same year as Psycho and definitely on a par with that film?

Peeping Tom is fantastic. In terms of style I think it's better than Psycho, tbh.

I actually prefer it as well for its style. I even think Carl Boehm's performance even eclipses that of Anthony Perkins. The film I know was slammed on its release and it wasn't until many years later that it was recognized as a masterpiece.

I said it boi. Rebecca is mediocre, especially compared to the rest of his filmography.

Who would've thought talking politics would be so interesting.
