i just find it funny that someone with as much authority as the vice president bothers buying into this media-endorsed bullshit.

what was it last year, bird flu?
and two years before that, SARS.
maybe next year we'll get a healthy Kitty Turd scare.

well if history is any judge pandemics are a legitimate threat to the populace, i'd rather the powers that be were on their toes. And it's great for ratings!

In his defense 90% of the things Joe Biden says in front of the camera are stupid; from threatening to shoot Obama to saying Franklin D. oh no i agree, the SARS scare was legitimate and the WHO's containment of it was superb. what isn't good is how the media has blown this one-page article on a new strain of influenza completely out of proportion. granted most of that information has actually come from the WHO itself. still a pretty cut-and-dry case of shoddy journalism and substandard reporting.

Actually WHO isn't to blame for the misinformation. Only 7 swine flu deaths, not 152, says WHO | smh.com.au I have no idea where the media got their death toll from.
