In fact, given the sentence, this was the best "position" (no pun intended) in the whole thing.

But let me address something on assumption alone. I'm guessing because I'm a "mod" that my original reply was "out of line."

In fact because I'm a mod, its exactly in line. If this wasn't an established member I'd have deleted it as spam and probably banned the guy. Where it is, I want to express, albeit harshly, that I'm not going to entertain spammers just because we'd had dealing before.

Me personally? No, and I don't think I've given an infraction or a ban for anything like that period. I will delete them and tell people to stop needless spamming (like this) but I'd like to have this debate out so everyone gets the rationale.

I'm not here to make sure you guys don't hurt each others feelings, i'm here to make sure the board in enjoyable so that people stay. As i've shown you, its not in my idea of "enjoyable" that his post fell into.

As for you, my assumption is you feel that the memberbase can jump in here whole hog and I'm supposed to write back and say "gee sorry for being here guys but that isn't really what we're going for."

If it makes you feel better to attempt to turn this into class warfare on an internet forum feel free but you've still to tell me how that (the post) isn't on par with casual spam.

Like i said, the posts were lame, that's something I agree on. But you weren't addressing that in your post, all you did was to call a member a retard. I thought insulting members was looked down on here, no? And then I say it's a bit uncalled for you go off on a rant about the lame posts rather than the fact that you called someone.

And for the record, you have given out infractions for 'insulting' members, hardly setting the example for the rest of us here is it?
