Jewish by default, atheist by heart. Couldn't care any less about religion.

I'm not religious at all. I don't consider myself anything. I don't dismiss the possibility of God, but I don't know necessarily believe there is a God. I try and remain fairly open minded to everyone's beliefs and not attack anyone for whatever they believe. We all have our rights to believe whatever we want. Just like everything religion is subjective. I am just a mixed up teenager when it comes to religion I guess. I don't do nearly as much study on different religions as I would like. It seems like a very interesting study to hear the beliefs of other religions I am not familiar with.

I think that if you did that, you wouldn't be so comfortable with organized religion and respecting it.

I maintain that people rally against religion so much because of Santa Clause. Its as if they've already died and found that all their cookies and milk were all for not.

On the contrary, I felt exactly the opposite to be honest. Some of these books have good advice too, and the poetic language employed is astonishing to say the least, especially considering when they were written. The problems arise when these texts get mistranslated & misinterpreted over and over and over again. And of course, some of this stuff just don't work well in the 21st century. But alas, I'd say go ahead and read about them! Doesn't in anyway alter my beliefs (for the worse that is).

I was born Catholic, but I don't follow it. I believe in a God but not really a specific religion.

I'm a Christian, by choice. I do my best to follow God and to love my neighbor, and I consider that to be the key tenet of Christianity. I have no interest in a structure which hates homosexuals and refuses to speak to people of other faiths unless trying to convert them. That is not true Christianity, in my opinion, nor does it follow what the Bible says. I have no problems with people of any other religious beliefs.

It's sad that I feel I have to put all of these disclaimers in, thanks to the image given to us Christians by, say, Fred Phelps or Benny Hinn
