It's called an immigration policy. Pretty standard practice around the world.

I'm aware that it's an immigration policy. The particular one that you recommend is built on fear though. Huff, puff and say it's all it facts instead of feelings or whatever, but I know what's at the root of it.

A legitimate fear of being blown up would play a minute part I suppose. But I don't really expect any of the hundreds of Muslims I interact with on a daily basis to do anything other than pay for their goods. It's more to do with limiting immigrantion as a whole, and being more selective. Europe and the US has enough to sort out as it is.

I'd call that fear about as valid of a fear of being struck by lightning. It is true that it is a legitimate fear because people hold that fear, but that doesn't mean that their fear is built on anything like rationality.

For immigration policy, it would make more sense to go just by number of immigrants instead of limiting the number of immigrants from just the Middle East. Ya know, because being exclusionary only creates a wider divide.

i think there should be a mass emigration of humans from their current location into graves. 7 billion or so should do the trick.

this sounds like a good and sexy plan.

also people who have a problem with other people based on just their race or ethnicity can immigrate to the north pole you probably won't find any arabs or mooslims there so you'll be safe and happy

my new pet-peeve is when people pronounce it like that. i hadn't even noticed it was a thing until the US debates but now it makes me rage

lol my sociology professor (he's from canada) pronounces it like that and he like.... lives in the middle east.
