Default Worlds first passenger spacecraft - VSS Enterprise

Plans to send thousands of space tourists into orbit have taken a giant leap forward, with Sir Richard Branson unveiling the world's first commercial passenger shuttle. The British billionaire teamed up with renowned aviation designer Burt Rutan to build the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo, which could be venturing beyond Earth's atmosphere as early 2011.

It is believed that some 300 clients have already paid the 200,000 dollar (£121,500) ticket or put down a deposit for a seat.

thoughts? opinions?

Anyone think this thing will ever leave the ground?

I think it sounds pretty good, however, I wouldn't want to be the test run! I am very keen to make it to space in my lifetime, I have a strong inclination towards the endless nothing out there.

What I want to know is this: I know you have to train to be an astronaut, to show that you can develop the skills to cope with the pressure of leaving the atmosphere etc. They also have to go through so many health checks and stuff. Will the people who take this trip outside of the earths atmosphere have to go through anything like this? Or is the spacecraft traveling not that far into space that it is necessary?

I really don't know much about any of it, so sorry if I sound stupid!
