I think religion cheapens the "miracle" of life.
I agree completely. I think the idea of god ect, whatever people believe in, is actually kind of less awe-inspiring than the science of life and how things are created. Maybe it's because I can fully believe in this, but I don't know, I think most religions (at least) are less amazing than actual facts of life.

Plus she's hot

Or is that another Egyptian queen?

Sun Ra: musical genius, cosmic seer, and generally weird dude. I think his music is amazing and a face-to-face conversation would be a trip.

James Dewitt Yancey: perhaps the greatest American producer to have ever lived, it's no secret i'm a huge dilla fan. We both share a love of soul, funk, and marijuana.

Maurits Cornelis Escher: one of my favorite painters, his development of impossible designs and work as a whole is really interesting to me. Plus he's a simple Dutch dude who would probably be a good drinking buddy.

Yep, I think it was her nephew that did that. It's one of the reasons a lot of things about her are a mystery to us today.

I think you're thinking of Cleopatra.

Life after death is a conspiracy... You really think that there is some way that you are going to go on to a greater place? Think really hard and don't fry all your brain cells, but you are nothing more than an animal that can walk up right and talk. The only thing that this thought or hope does is take money out of your wallet with false promises, supposing you are a church person... Your brainwashed and hosed, conspiracy in its rawest form... You may however make the grass a shade greener... You might as well all drink the koolaide (those who practice any religion), after all those people were believers, though just because its not in what you believe didn't make it any less real for them. Or maybe there really riding hale bop right now wondering why the hell everyone isnt with them...

To suppose and discuss is dumb.

Did you actually read the OP? It's was a hypothetical question, homes, basically just another way of saying which people from history would you most like to meet.

Yes Janzoon, I did read this played out thread, It just pisses me off that mine got closed. Mine was the one about Haarp and I don't think its fair to close a thread just because someone who has the power to close a thread felt he didn't like the thread content. It's always the same thing here however I do like this site but I always find myself in another revolving door topic that some 13 yr old posted because there afraid to die. Thats all I'm saying.

Sorry, someone should have instead taken the time to inform you a long time ago that the name of this forum is not conspiracy theory banter; that way we could have prevented you from having wasted yours and so many other member's time.

Yes, I thought that was a very ironic thing for someone who constantly posts about conspiracy theories to say. I was going to just let it go, but thanks for highlighting it for everyone.

If you have a question or complaint about one of your threads being closed, an unrelated thread by someone else is not the appropriate place to whine about it.

I thought by pointing out that a Greek inventor (Hero of Alexandria) was the first (as far as I know in recorded history or at least according to the History Channel) to invent said inventions, I was only helping you in your quest of true knowledge. Think about it, some guy in the 13th century was just improving what the ancient Greeks (like Hero of Alexandria) was doing in the first century - to me that is amazing. You gotta love those ancient Greeks though, their motto should be "Been there, done that."
