Pointing out hypocrisy in others does absolutely nothing when it comes to actually refuting their points. If convincing them that you are right is your agenda, then the strategy might work, but for those who are concerned with truth, then the reasons why such and such is wrong or right will have to be given.

I am pretty sure Jesus was actually more concerned with the hearts of his followers. Those who actually wanted to follow him, instead of a set of rules, were his true followers. I don't think one can say that doing drugs advances one's capability to follow Jesus, except for the fact that it ****s your brain up, which probably helps a lot.
