That's awfully bold of you to make those assumptions. Don't you think? After all, neither of those statements correlate with what I was implying at all.

Look... we can argue all night, but you know very well that we both won't change our perspectives on this issue. So, you can continue this argument if you wish, but I won't have any part in it. (I just thought it was hilarious that you dismissed protesting as being useless).

I wouldn't doubt it if it is.

The Tea Party movement was/is just a politically supported expression of ideals that are used in the mainstream to achieve a goal. The only difference here is that on the right side of the fence, they gave themselves a name.

Sarah Palin gets frosty reception at Wisconsin Capitol

Basically, a Tea Party rally sees just as many anti-rally-ers (if not more) than rally-ers.

Do you think you are in the position to discredit countless historians and scholars on this issue?
I think most would agree with me. But, regardless, the West loves a story that follows the Jesus template: little guy gets picked on, little guy turns the other cheek, then the little guy gets his head blown off, bad guys feel remorse and reform themselves.

Mao had a lovely quote, "Political power comes from the barrel of a gun."

i dont think the tea party is losing steam. recently ive begun to realize that america is a nation filled with morons, and while not everyone is so gullible, there are MANY people who fall for their bull****. It is very clear to me that the tea party, and to some extent the whole right, has no regard for the less fortunate. Don't be surprised if they win the next election and **** us over.

In ****ing the 'less fortunate' over, there's a good chance they could end up ****ing themselves over. There's a reason things like the 40-hour work week, minimum wage, etc. were implemented, and it wasn't because the government/business owners wanted to be nice. Tea Party saint Rand Paul even wants to repeal the Civil Rights Act of 1964 because he feels it infringes upon an employer's right to discriminate.

No, that's not what he said. He didn't mention anything about repealing the Civil Rights Act. Basically, he just thought that it was wrong to keep business owners from deciding what race they serve. It doesn't mean he's racist or that he's in favor of getting rid of the act... it just means he's a strong supporter of the laissez-faire governmental philosophy (which, in my opinion, seems to be a flawed ideology).

It was pretty much a political move aimed to gather support from the GOP's base.
