You should, and you could I guess. Just take a week to go somewhere and leave your cellphone, computer, and whatever at home.

And how is that bad? If anything, it saved her a potentially bad dinner.

Yeah, right? Man, people getting a good hint on where to eat is going to kill the human race.

Insensitivity to violence and depravity is a huge concern of mine, as is the decrease in respect for others and inability to communicate with them.

How do you mean? That people are using cyberspace as a veil to say things to others that they probably wouldn't say in real life?

I would say that the common access to videos and images such as 2girls1cup, and the fact that these images are increasingly treated as a joke, is a problem.

Well cyber bullying or whatever has become a more high profile issue. And while I probably don't take it as seriously as I should, I think it's something real, and probably different from conventional bullying in many ways.

And the other thing is that we have access to information about all of the violence, violations of human rights, people starving etc - which is more a product of the expansion of all kinds of information sources not just the internet - but it does desensitize us I think. It certainly has done to me.

Other than buying less music & less magazines I've not noticed any real difference in myself since I came online.

But then I just treat the internet like one more piece of home entertainment.
I'm not the slightest bit interested in 4G phones (Or phones of any kind for that matter), social networking, twitter or any of that kind of thing that means I get interrupted when I'm out doing something, or bore people about what I'm doing.

And someone answer me this, what the hell do you do exactly with an Ipad?

You show it off to people and pretend it isn't pointless. Some of them will play along with you.
