Santorum held some backward, offensive, and wrong views of the homosexual community and to a lesser but relevant extent women. I don't agree with him but he had a right to lose the primary saying them. And I'm not telling anyone they shouldn't be put off by his statements, but you need to make the case for why he's wrong, not scream about his "evil" he is and celebrate a medical condition in one of his children.

I don't think Family is fair game - they didn't choose to run just like I'm sure Bella (his daughter) didn't choose to have her genetic condition. You can rail against a mans beliefs, but theres no reason to get personal. When you do you look petty, unintelligent, and rutterless. There are plenty of ways to attack Rick Santorum on principles alone.
Okay, I obviously didn't read that article clearly. However, I don't see anyone here "celebrating" his child's illness, and CERTAINLY not me. It's fine to assume that he dropped out of the race because he wants to take care of her.

I live in Canada though, so me participating in this discussion is kind of moot.

i dunno, i read somewhere Dave Mustaine supported him

that's about the extent that I know about him

from reading this article, though, he seems to hold a lot of those crackpot Conservative ideals

From what I've heard, Dave Mustaine is a Born Again twat. His last few albums have been cool, but he writes too many songs about the Bible. Here's a hint, Dave, NO ONE CARES!!!

P.S. Old school Dave is still the **** though. Satan bless him for writing Megadeth's first four albums.

Dude, no one said shit about his daughter. The thing you quoted was SANTORUM giving one of his reasons for leaving the race. That paragraph doesn't say anything even remotely offensive, it's just stating a fact. Maybe you should read things more carefully in the future.

That would qualify as a step, would it not?

I guess it depends how you look at it. I wouldn't, for example, describe making it to the final rounds of a pre-Olympics qualifying tournament as "a step closer" to winning an Olympic gold medal, but to each his own.

He's dropping out because his child is sick. People are excited. If you can sleep at night, I guess thats all that matters.

People are excited that he's stepping down. I had no idea he had a sick daughter until you said anything. You're making assumptions about people who are excited about him stepping down because of that, but they're only excited because he would have made a ****ty president.
