versus

a natural oil cartel richer than anything else in the world fueling a propaganda machine and buying off every politician and mediaperson they can

how come some people still don't believe in climate change?

also the earth's rotation is slower nowadays i hear which has something to do with it

Yeah, it's a really messy issue, and very much influenced by politics. Because the media is involved, it becomes less about discussing reality and coming to a consensus, and more about agendas and choosing sides. It's sad though, that because of all the disorganization and the passionate divisiveness, scientists who research climate and weather patterns are receiving death threats and lawsuits.
