That was actually here in the States in Arizona. Dude ran his daughter over with a car because she wouldn't date a Muslim. He showed her.

This was big news here and it really finally highlighted some of the horrors that go on in these communities regarding things like arranged marriages. They only really go on in tight asian communites here, where having a daughter is often seen as being a financial burden on the parents if she fails to marry.
