Another School Shooting...Really?

Breaking: 2 reportedly shot at Taft Union High School in Kern County - latimes.com

What the hell is happening? Could this be bogus, there are several reports of it already so I dont think it is.

School shootings have actually been pretty common in the US (and other countries) since at least the 1970s. Well over a hundred in US history. There were only 8 in 2012 and in 2011, down from 11 in both 2009 and 2010.

I don't think they are that common, at least not in equivalent high-income nations.

They're more common than you think in Europe, it seems the richest countries in Europe have had their fair share of shootings with Germany the Netherlands leading the list.
