As for me, I was deeply touched by her confession. She was real and I feel she was being geniue. I think this speech is got to be one of the best speeches that I ever heard. I mean everyone was touched. I hope Jodie Foster will be peace now that she has officially said that she is a lesbian.

Can't help but imagine how much her agents love this.

She did it at an award ceremony where she knew there'd be a lot of attention, etc.

If anybody else did it in a public setting like on a sidewalk or at a school or whatever, there'd be people going crazy.

I don't think she actually came out. Seemed to me like she said she had already done that. Didn't help that the audio cut out right before her only mention of it.

Pointless. If one's sexuality doesn't matter (and it doesn't) then why make a big announcement stating that you are gay? It is none of anybody else's business.

I have a similar opinion with sportsmen, I don't see why the media are so desperate to finally have their openly gay footballer, it shouldn't matter.

Exactly what i'm saying. If this was done in a less attention public setting, people would be going bat **** crazy saying she's a sinner, etc. But she chose a place that would obviously have more supporters than not.
