It can help you seem like you almost know what you're saying while pretending to answer someone's question, which the critical voter does not give heed to (see: Trump's national ratings).

i've said i watch vice news videos on youtube before... which is **** like them interviewing ISIS or exposing the propensity of colombians to have sex with donkies... all of which is covered with the utmost journalistic integrity, thankyou. but i've never seen their magazine.

It would be political suicide for any mainstream Democrat or Republican Presidential candidate to promote cutting the defense budget and/or ending support for Israel. I would be very surprised to hear any of them running on either of those ideas as part of their strategy to win the nomination, let alone the Presidency.
