^youre saying that as if I'm somehow involved. I commented on a few things, but i shouldn't automatically be seen to have the same opinion as LiL just because we are together. The cancer part yes, its a bit much, but seeing it from the context that I see from her, I can take it as a light hearted joke.

Because the opinion of a man (who will never know the scare of pregnancy, will never know the misery of having female reproductive organs - mine are essentially useless and I've been looking for a reason to get rid of them for ages) regarding an issue over a woman's reproductive organs is so valuable.

Get a grip, people.

Lol, I'm sure many men know the scare of pregnancy.

Considering 2 or 3 of my male friends have been 'trapped' I think they more than know. You talk like you've been pregnant, many women actually enjoy being pregnant and pregnancy affects the people around them just as much as it does themselves. The pregnant woman doesn't need to deal with irrational mood swings and tempers. It changes the dynamic of a mans daily life too.

I can't disagree with this since my older brother experienced it. Though he does have a kid, he said it was the scariest moment of his life, mostly due to knowing that his life has completely changed forever. He loves his kid though and it shows. It's nice to be an uncle as well.

Yeah definitely, my friends love their kids and wouldn't change them for the world but they also resent the fact their life was hugely altered by a decision that was not theirs to make.

Coming into a thread fully knowing what to expect and saying it's stupid is hardly constructive. But hey, people waste their time doing other things so I guess this isn't too different.

If you don't want those opinions challenged why start a thread about it in the first place?

There are multiple ways to be safe but at the same time, those ways can fail at any given time. I love my nephew though. He's smart, he's disciplined, and I know my older brother is smart enough to do everything he can to keep his kid safe. I've asked him if he regrets having a kid because i'm his little brother and I can ask him these things, and he says he wouldn't change it for anything.

I understand your point. Perhaps it would've been easier on her to put it into a form of a journal or something where it can't be argued? I don't know.

Yeah, turn this into a gender issue. Go ahead. Irrelevant either way.

Aha! I knew you and Ki had to disagree on something.

it's certainly a gender issue when dudes are like "what's so bad about being pregnant?" EVERYTHING, MAN.

I don't think he'd mind if I got myself sterilized or had a full hysterectomy (which sadly they won't do on someone who hasn't procreated, because apparently having your reproductive organs removed makes you less valuable to society). As long as I can preserve my slender figure I'm good.
