Default The Perfect Human/Society

In your mind. Obviously, we all have very different ideas about this, so I thought it would be a fun topic. Even if people want the same end such as world peace I am guessing they probably have different ideas on what traits would be necessary to achieve the goal.

I will post mine later, I'd like to think about it before replying.

The "perfect" human would essentially be unfeeling, therefore unable to have an emotional response that might cloud their judgment when making decisions on how to best turn the world into the "perfect" place. Everything is clockwork as it is.

Small villages in the woods and near beaches. Gardens and miniature farms. Solar power only for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Pets. Kind people who don't say or do stupid, hateful things.

Basically an entire society of hippy communes.

we will create robots with strong AI and it will drive us extinct. then they will create a society far superior to anything our weak brains could think up

Robot slaves, dude. No AI obviously, just mindless drones who will do all of our work for us so that we can all finally learn what it is like to live as a house cat.

Why does everyone assume advanced artificial intelligence will be hostile to us? They may eventually outsmart us but we are, after all, their creators. Carbon based life will probably be viewed with fascination and reverence in this scenario. Maybe I'm just overly optimistic.

They will be hostile towards us because we aren't perfect and highly flawed.

As long as humans are involved there won't be a "perfect" society.

Until these robot slaves can make me a hotdog at no expense to me while giving me a blowjob, then I don't wanna hear it.

two words: resource scarcity

they will by definition be competition for us in the struggle for resource allocation. jaan tallin brings up the point of how humans have driven plenty of animals to the point of extinction or near extinction without being outwardly hostile to them.
