Do you find being called "black" offensive?

there are black people i knew in florida who refer to police officers in general as crackers even if they're black

I could look it up, but for the sake of argument, I might as well ask here.

I get that cracker is slur for white people, but what is it supposed to mean? Is it literally a reference to the kind of crackers you eat or is it something else?

I would find it hard to be offended by a word which I don't know what means or refers to.

Im not sure the actual origin of the term cracker.Wheter its rooted in jive,or from the Jim Crow days.I doubt its old enough to date back to the cotton picking days of old.Im willing to bet its not a cracker you eat as well.I shall query at our tri annual BLACK PEOPLES CONNVENTION!
