Lame. I was kind of looking forward to getting mad at people for not calling me italian german swedish norwegian caucasian american. Now I can't be ironically offended.

"Heinz 57" is the inoffensive term.

My grandfather on my mother's side was an American American. He descended from native American Indians.

What does he win?

Except "European-American" isn't used to describe an actual race while ignoring other races native to Europe.

Understandable but still a bit weird.

My distant (great grandparents) relatives were born in Canada.

Am I Canadian American?

How is it weird?

Black is technically not a race it is color and a socially constructed label for African Americans.

How is African American a race? Is a white guy from South Africa not African? Is an Arab from Egypt not African? Wouldn't they technically be African American if they moved to America? Or do they just not count because they're not black?

You kinda supported my point with this lol

This is why black is not a "race"

It doesn't tell the whole story.

It is according to the census bureau.

What are you talking about? I just showed you why African is not a race. However, black is specific.
