Four Lions is hilarious. A hilarious comedy.

Chula Vista 01-24-2015 10:28 AM

I get it's a comedy. But it hits really close to home for a lot of those dim wads.

First time Eddie Van Halen watched Spinal Tap he was confused why everyone else in the room was laughing.

The Batlord 01-24-2015 11:29 AM

I'm just gonna assume Eddie Van Halen isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch.

Frownland 01-24-2015 11:33 AM

He was probably too drunk to realize it was a movie.

That's the kind of thing you'd get on my case for posting: video already posted, why say "yeah me too"? You know you would if I did it, don't lie.

I admit that terrorism is not a topic that I feel comfortable discussing. But this is an important topic and it must be talked about... The main goal of terrorism is to strike fear into the hearts of innocent people. Look at the logic... If we are constantly worried about terrorism, we cannot be productive human beings. How are we going to put food on the table? How are we going to perform well in school? How are we going to care for our children/brothers/sisters/family members if we are constantly worried about terrorism? We have nothing to fear but fear itself. I choose not to be afraid. I will lift my head up high; I will walk with pride. I live in Canada and Canada has one of the best security forces in the world. I'm fortunate enough to live in a first-world country. The police services are great and the hospitals are excellent. I don't take terrorism lightly, but at the same time, I'm not afraid. I will continue to be productive and I will continue to do good things in this world. Believe me. The good people are stronger than the bad people. I will continue to enjoy life and democracy. FREEDOM RULES!

Posting this here because it has to do with France and free speech:

French cartoonist Zeon arrested for anti-Zionist work - Non-Aligned Media

The Charlie Hebdo cartoonists were widely defended, but why isn't this okay? It's not as if he was promoting hateful views towards Jews, he was just critizising what's going on between Israel and Palestine.

France just hates it when their cartoonists are actually good at drawing.

You really can't pretend that first one is anything other than virulent anti-semitism.

Not saying this can't happen (people after all are super-touchy when something might be seen as antisemitism), but it's difficult to find a believable source for this, it's mostly on blogs and such, so I'm somewhat sceptical.

I just wish both sides would blow each other to smithereens and so we don't have to hear about this dreary conflict that neither side wants to resolve ever again.

My thoughts as well. Plus, "the Brigade of Repression of Delinquency People" sounds like a typically absurd song title for a Frank Zappa/Mothers of Invention tune.
