There are probably those who would argue for islamism with arguments of virtues like love, respect and tolerance. I would respect genuine good intentions, even if I don't agree with islamism. There are probably many who would further islamism without using fear, violence and terror. While I am against islamism on general principle, I don't want to demonize every intention behind it that might exist out there.

In general on this subject, I think it's important to try not to generalize and to try not to alienate.

Free Speech is going to me, is a wonderful thing. If the cartoonist wanted to make fun of the people, it's his voice. He did not have to die for free speech. I find it BS that people are trying to get kids into this as well. Terrorist deserve to die. The end.

I became more aware of it after reading an interview in a Norwegian newspaper with a muslim who complained that all norwegian non-muslims ever see are the evils of islam and not the virtues of it. She wanted Norway to become "islamized" and argued that it would basically add good values to society. I assume that if given the possibility, she will excercise what political power she has (be it only a vote) to further that kind of islamism in Norway. I figure there must be more people like her and not only in Norway.

I'm sorry for not providing a link. I can look for one on the internet, but the article would of course be in norwegian.

Thanks Trollheart

I do lurk a bit now and then, but for every post I write, there's probably at least one or two that never gets to the point where I actually click 'submit'. I'm more like a creepy uncle these days, occasionally dropping by and watching you guys from the shadows.

Thanks for that, by the way). And since you sent me a PM approximating "Hey, are we cool?", and then a few more as an attempt to discuss things politely with me outside of the thread, I naturally (and not unreasonably) assumed that you legitimately didn't want to offend me. So if you do actually dislike me, you're not doing a very good job of expressing it.

Yeah, oppressing me with love is actually even more terrifying somehow.
