I have been keeping up on ISIS and reading about the history of the middle east a bit. I saw the egyptian beheading.... that was disturbing. But I don't really have much to say off the top of my head. Any primer questions?

If I allowed my brain to process all of the bad stuff going on in the world and in my own backyard I'd go f*cking batsh*t crazy and want to put a bullet in my head.

One of the American aid workers that's been executed on camera went to high school with my boyfriend, and his parents attend the same church as my own. Apparently they (his parents) knew for about a year before it made headlines, but were told to keep quiet essentially, only finding out through a message one of the released captives managed to deliver. That's gotta be an awful feeling, knowing what's going on but at the same time not knowing anything.
