I don't understand why some of them need to push it on people though. This is happening more and more in Canada now as well. If people have the right to freedom of religion, then surely they also have the right to non religion.

It's the word for someone who doesn't believe in a god. Whether or not you label yourself as such, if you do not believe in a god then you are an atheist. If you are a two-dimensional, four-sided geometric shape, with all sides equal, opposite sides parallel, and all converging into four right angles, then you are a square, regardless of the fact that you don't like being called a square.

Atheism isn't a religion, or a belief system, or a political party, or a clubhouse. It is merely the lack of a belief in a deity.

Im not trying to be accusatory, Im just pointing out what they might be thinking.I know some people that pour their hearts into ministry and they aren't doing it to make you feel less than, unworthy, or using you as a comparison so they look good. They are doing it to try and "help" you. Just like you can't understand why they are feeding you chapter after chapter, they cant understand why you dont want to eat it.
