His chances of winning the nomination? Not good, here's why.

1. The Democratic establishment wants Hillary to win, they even shortened the number of tv debates in her favour.

The Democratic establishment doesn't want Bernie to win because they think he's too far to the left and therefore unelectable to swing voters.

Although I don't have time to find a direct link between the DNC & financial doners here's the difference in Hillary & Bernie's fundraising now and historically. (notice the amount of banks on Hillary's top list)

2. Hillary has a lockdown on Hispanic American and Black voters. Despite continued efforts on Sanders part he can't seem to break through.

For Hispanic voters this is in part because of his stance on immigration,

Among Black voters it's in part because their is a strong bond between many black voters and the Clintons that will be hard to unhinge.

3. He does not poll well amongst centrist democratic voters.

Although somewhat old, this chart shows Bernie Sanders problem with moderate democratic voters.

Since his entrance into the race he has been polling steadily upwards, but has flatlined at 30% for the last month, which means he's probably hit the ceiling of his support.

Plus, Hillary also maintains a strong lead over Sanders in Iowa.

What does this all mean? Hillary will be the Presidential candidate for the Democratic Party!
Thanks.

Should be a more interesting election than the last couple.

That doesn't explain the Sanders Surge that's been happening the last few months, especially in Iowa and New Hampshire, probably the most important Primary/caucus states due to their chronological positions on the primary/caucus schedule.

I forget who posted the article, but it mentioned that he's reached a ceiling of something like 30% approval ratings in the Democratic party, and hasn't managed to rise above that. You simply have to understand American politics. Anyone who can possibly be credibly called a socialist has zero chance of winning a primary, let alone an election. Bernie Sanders was always dead in the water. It's great that he could bring attention to certain political things, but as a candidate he was doomed from the start.

That's pretty much what I figured. I know its a tired cliche but honestly, when it comes to U.S. politics, your voting for who you think is the lesser of two evils

And yet this is the guy with the highest approval rating in the entire senate. Whatever, if he doesn't get the nomination I'm voting republican.

You'd rather vote for a Republican than Hillary Clinton? Even if the GOP nominates Donald Trump? Or Ted Cruz?

I'd just not vote at all, or vote for a third party candidate.

You have to have a certain number of votes to qualify as a third-party candidate in most states, and there is almost never a third-party candidate in most elections due to this.

And I'll vote Trump just to troll the country. I feel that we've earned a Trump presidency and would like to reap the benefits/hilarity.
