^^^

That doesn't happen for the same reasons I was telling you that you educating yourself on politics essentially didn't matter: libertarians will generally vote republican regardless of the candidate's positions, so they don't have to be pandered to, and they're not a big enough unified voting bloc to affect primaries like the social conservatives are.

Just googled it:

Quote:
"Libertarian conservatism is a conservative political philosophy and ideology that combines right-libertarian politics and conservative values. Libertarian conservatives' first value is negative liberty to achieve socially and culturally conservative ends. They reject liberal social engineering."
WTF is liberal social engineering?

Stuff like affirmative action and welfare. Government intervention meant to cause social change that they view as ineffective, inefficient, and dangerously expanding the power of government at the expense of the individual.

Got it.

There's simply no grey left in political ideology. Solid black or white. That's why we're f*cked so badly. Pick an issue. Align yourself. Then give zero quarter no matter what the peripheral issues are.

That's because unintelligent people think in black and white and most of the world is stupid.

Not stupidity for a lot of folks. Just passion overriding logic.

What's the difference? Either way the outcome isn't logical.

It's on the other side of the coin, too. Like 5 year olds being able to get sex changes.

Uhh what? Where? Pretty sure you have to live at least a year as the opposite sex before they even consider you eligible, and I'd say 5 is a little too young for them to know. 8-10 is more reasonable when they can really start to understand and express feelings in a non-primative way. I don't think it should be done that young but I could understand the argument for it.
