On the issue of policies, Trump is surprisingly moderate. He may have gone on about tagging Muslims and sending them off, but if you go look on his page at his actual policy, the policy relates only to enforcing laws already in place. When questioned about the trans-bathroom situation (which is actually kind of a distraction from the other piece of policy that came with that regarding employment) he took a liberal position. In the past, he has held liberal positions on abortion. A lot of his rhetoric is aimed at his current base.

But then there's the ****ing wall. That's still up on his policy page, and making Mexico pay for it. Lol.

Ah, there lies the rub. You think it's a joke. But it's not, it's the sad state we're in. And you'll begin to appreciate that under President Trump.

To me, it sounds like you're catastrophizing a Trump Presidency. I don't believe he will "run the country into the ground". And further, I don't see "the system" as life support.

It's actually kind of unfortunate how much attention and energy is given to the presidency... if you want to maintain life support, start voting congress members that care about the middle class in.

I agree with Roxy, but I don't think it's stupidity that turns us into "slaves" (slaves is a bit hyperbolic) it's simply lack of power. It doesn't matter how smart you are when your slavery is enforced by armed men.
