Christian Wonder Bread White America

Why have they been constantly on the defensive and afraid throughout this (Euroamerican) nation's history? What do they have against:

The native Americans
The Blacks
The Jews
Women's rights
The Irish Catholic
The gays
The impoverished
Those who support welfare and social security
Those who want government regulation of Wall Street and banking
Those who want socialization of health care programs
Sensible gun control measures

ETC, ETC, ETC.

And now, the entire Islam religion and all Muslims in general.

Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph were both Christians for ****s sake.

The Answer is: GUILT.

I was born into Wonder Bread White America. I am so glad I ****ing escaped. I'm almost ready to disown some of my family back east based on their CWBW tinged posts of late. Totally reek of racism/classism/homophobia.

EDIT: I'm drunk and not articulating well. Just really pissed at some of the posts I've read just now on FB.

I hear ya. I left the Heartland, where hypocrisy is raised to an art form, moved to another country, immersed myself in another language and culture, and forgot all about ever going back to the Divided States of Embarrassment* (but there are plenty of good people in the States, of course!). It just wasn't for me.

Speaking as someone who lives in the deep, deep south, a lot of those people just can't wrap their heads around things, or don't want to try. A lot of them are from poor areas and just have more than they can handle going on in their lives so when it comes to larger issues they tend to just blurt **** out. I have heard some things you would not believe. I have heard someone advocate using the US military as a mercenary force to make money. I have heard people advocate unlimited military spending because it's "nice to have". I live next to a place that still sometimes makes black customers use the side entrance.

****'s real.

But at the same time it's mostly old people and old people die.

I've already seen the old person pass it on to his son, and by result, his 2 grandsons.

The son use to be my best friend and brother in law.

The virus spreads way too easy.

Honestly I thin it dies out faster than it spreads. I mean the average age of a Fox News viewer is what... like 60something now?

As the honored sage Homer Simpson once famously said, "The great thing about having kids is you can teach them to hate the same things you do!"

It's not guilt. They are self-righteous whackjobs with no respect or appreciation for cultural diversity and life. They single-handedly make all the good religion has done(on a global scale) hard to appreciate.

This seems most appropriate. I just finished listening to John Grant's Queen of Denmark album which included this lovely little tune:

John Grant - Jesus Hates Faggots

That's sarcastic/satirical, yeah? Like "I hate this town"...?

Yes, it's a social commentary Troll.
