Remember when China and Japan both underwent periods of cultural isolation? Worked out real fuckin' great for them, huh? They totally didn't ignore the fact that most of their cool **** was handed down to them from India, and then end up falling hilariously behind the rest of the world.

**** nations. **** nationalism in general. Connecting everyone regardless of arbitrary borders is the fastest way for everyone to see how everyone else is living, and to decide for themselves how they want to live.

You don't like Islamic extremists? Guess what sort of environment consistently gives birth to the most extremists? I'll give you a hint, it has to do with endless border wars instigated by ****ty politicans that thrive on nationalist policies resulting in pockets of disgruntled refugees exploited by charismatic figures that feed off of the cultural stagnation they've found themselves in.
