Forget about all of those socialists who think that we don't even need the government. Who, by the way, used the word before you Ayn Rand types

Unfettered capitalism is in no way libertarian. It just creates greater exploitation, and destroys the monopoly on that exploitation.

I'm simply making the point that socialism isn't necessarily big government.

Also, yeah, Atlas Shrugged is ****ty even as a novel.

**** yeah it is. I had to quit halfway through out of sheer boredom. And I was even a libertarian cheerleader at the time. And my favorite book was over a thousand pages long!

I'm imagining you as a cheerleader now. Not a pretty sight.

Eventually this retarded my own ability to think critically because I had become emotionally invested in politics, and emotion is the antithesis of reason.

Politics may be necessary, but I refuse to subvert my brain for the sake of my fellow automatons. Let people who can't help themselves but become involved pick up that torch. I'm done caring about politics to any great extent.
I agree, I can't be bothered with politics to any large extent either, because it would mean having to join a political party that would force me to subscribe to a uniform set of values.

Each issue should be approached objectively, and an opinion should be derived only upon carefully analyzing the facts, not ideological sentiment.

Unfortunately there are too many people out there that believe politics can do wonders for their life. As a result, they often become religiously feverous in their beliefs, and completely intolerant of someone who has an opposing view.

when i'm voting for president i just try to guess who has a bigger dick between the two candidates and vote for him

according to ghandi, a person with a small dick probably suffers from SPS (small penis syndrome) and is probably an angry little man who's just going to cause more problems and disturb the peace in the middle east
