Catholicism falls under theism which is an umbrella term for a belief in god or gods.. you don't get to identify as catholic and ignore the defining characteristic. You're basically arguing you can claim you're gay and not attracted to the same sex or be vegan and consume animal products.

My dad is a gay vegan so I am too even though guys smell and I'm eating a burger as we speak.

Veganism is probably a bad example because the goal is to reduce suffering as much as possible and many vegans, knowingly or not, participate in some sort of non-vegan behavior simply because of the way society functions. I think my point still stands.

If he'd stop beating around the bush and explain himself, this would be a lot easier.

Prayer is idiotic. If god is omniscient and has a perfect plan then why the **** would he change it because you're too sad? If his plan is so epic then I'd say he should be slapped in the face for compromising it.
