The majority of produce that comes out of California is grown and harvested by illegal Mexicans.

Okay, and? That justifies them not paying taxes or contributing to society?

Edit: Let me rephrase. Their work is obviously a contribution to society, but beyond that they are exempt from the same things that all legal citizens are not, which is not a good thing.

Now that it's established that according to all the available information we have it's harder to get into Canada than the United States can we start taking the discussion more seriously rather than screaming racist, white or nationalist like you have the most liberal case of tourette syndrome known to man?

At this point it is what it is though. They do the work that most Americans couldn't be bothered with. And you and I benefit from it. Want to "fix it? Our economy will suffer, prices will sore, some companies might go out of business, healthcare costs will go up even more, etc.

A lot of needlessly scared Americans will sleep better at night but will also bitch like crazy when their tomato prices go up 150% as a result.

No, but he does tell you right where he gets his information when saying "The Toronto Sun reports..."

That's bull****. They don't do the work most Americans couldn't be bothered with. There are tons of Americans looking for jobs that would love to take ANYTHING they could.

Okay and that's fine. I'm not blind to reality, but don't you think we should be working towards practical ways of not relying on them while simultaneously tackling the problem of illegal immigration?

"It's dysfunctional, but it works, so let's just leave it be". We should always be seeking to improve out situation.

Sure, but "THE WALL" is not a practical start. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

If you bothered reading any of the previous discussion, I said on more than one occasion I thought the wall was a stupid idea. My only argument was to stop giving Anteater ****, because the wall itself is not racist. Also, as I said to Trollheart, I'm not gonna repeat my entire argument, but if you'd like to dig through and bring up something that I possibly over looked or you feel I didn't make a good enough case for then feel free.
