I may have missed it, but I've legitimately never seen you argue a point of view regarding politics. Obviously we know you lean left, but I've not seen you explain why.

Disenfranchised liberal who thinks that Trump is a piece of ****.

When he was running I mentioned it a lot.

Goofle 01-11-2017 09:01 AM

Most disenfranchised liberals seem to gravitate towards Trump, rather than back away from him. You seem to be more left that a liberal based on the posts I have read.

Not according to my echo chamber.

And some people think I actually support Trump too lol.

Thoughts on lowering tax then? As a whole, ignore current politics.

There are taxes that are obvious money grubbing re: sin taxes, but I think that the current progressive bracket system we have is fine (although the ridiculously complex tax code mucks that basic notion up). I also think that taxing stock market influencing Wall Street predictions is a great idea.

There are problems with America's taxes, but it's not so much in the rates themselves.

I bully retards on here every day, so I'm not about to denounce that.

So you're responsible for this spate of kids running up to people, innocent people in the street and playing complicated and atonal arrangements on guitars, saxes and other instruments! You bastard! How could you unleash such a plague on the world???

It is a serious response. Politicians are terrible role models and people who think otherwise don't deserve good role models.

Agreed. I can never remember anyone ever saying they took their example from a pres, with the possible exception of JFK. Most everyone knows politicians are corrupt, amoral *******s, and this government, you know, it goes right up to the president!!

No, we are taught from grade school to look up to and respect the POTUS. Any person in that chair should try to set a good example, at least on the surface.

I'm mostly taking about young kids here who don't know any better.

That doesn't happen. Everyone in America WANTS to be president some day, probably, but nobody wants to be like him. Or her. Or it. (Edited for when America elects an alien president, or a dog. Hey, there's a cat who's mayor already of some town...)

Probably with a baseball bat.

Call it a conspiracy theory all you want, but it's been more or less accepted that the CIA at the very least covered up - let alone took part in - the Kennedy assassination. Kennedy was screwed when he refused to provide additional support during the Bay of Pigs operation (the CIA's brainchild) and ousted Dulles as a result of the fiasco. The CIA was also happy to work with the mob until Kennedy took an active role in hindering them. There is also the popular belief that the CIA may have baited Nixon into breaking into the Watergate after even they realized the futility of the Vietnam war and he refused to end it.

If Trump proves to be more than just a nuisance for them, expect reprisals - even if that reprisal is a fabricated report of Trump's collusion with Russia.

You mean Trump could be Fired??

I'm just baffled at how anyone can still defend him after the last month. Unless your sole reason for voting for him was to see the whole thing burn.

I'm slowly getting over the shock and disgust of the election results and am getting back to looking forward to watching America self-destruct.

I live in DC, so we feel obligated to live in a constant state of shock and disgust now. The inauguration is going to be such a **** show.
