No-one said that anyone loves the ACA. Nice try though. What the poll states is that the the majority of those asked, who identified themselves as republicans, said they think the ACHA is departing too radically from the ACA.

Did you read the updated CBO report that was issued yesterday? Trumpcare is even worse that what they first reported now that they have studied the changes being made to try and get it to pass the house.

Correct: what I say has more merit than you (in this particular argument) because I have more real world experience and know a wide range of people whom I actively communicate with and learn from, which in this case includes an FBI veteran. I sincerely apologize if you don't like that. You may not be having fun, but I love this stuff.

You are a pretty smart guy, but I also realized a long time ago that we'll probably never agree on anything outside of music.

As for Trumpcare, I had a wait and see attitude coupled with a high degree of skepticism. The skepticism I had proved to be well warranted. You didn't need to sell me on that.

Trump just ordered Paul Ryan to yank the ACHA bill because it was going to fail miserably. The republicans had 7 years and 1 day to figure out how to repeal the ACA. They have campaigned for that entire time and have won seats on the premise they were going to do it once Obama was out of office. Trump guaranteed he'd get it done. Guaranteed it over and over again. Trump has a majority in the house and senate.

FAILED MISERABLY.

I think that they spent more time in the past seven years zeroing in on how bad ACA was as a political move than actually crafting policy. Hopefully this will be a kick in the pants that leads to a more coherently constructed policy. Better to own up to your mistakes before they have any real-world effect than to stubbornly push it through because of promises. It's like the new season of Rick & Morty: they said it would be here already and while it sucks that it's not, I would rather they take their time and make something worthwhile.
