Waaah my reputation is tarnished. What a privileged complaint.

Strange post.

Making accusations against somebody with no justification and then basically saying they can't complain about it because of 'privilege' is unbelievably cuntish.

They can complain about anything they want but it still isn't the same as actually being held back from certain things due to discrimination and prejudice

The word privilege just has you triggered.

So when African Americans who have to deal with a tarnish reputation because of stereotypes your reply would be "Waaah my reputation is tarnished." Profiling is OK because if someone complain about being unfairly targeted because that group has a bad reputation your response would be "Waaah my reputation is tarnished."

If you can't afford one man the dignity of a good reputation how can you afford to give respect to a whole groups of people? ... or (if you're in the habit of thinking only about race) give respect to a whole race of people? To justify the hatred you have for someone by simply labeling him or her a "bigot" then commence hating them, you become the very person you hate. "Let no man pull you so low as to hate him."
-Martin Luther King Jr.

They also conveniently forget that he was all for people rioting and destroying property but that gets swept under the rug as well. He understood why people riot. Why the voiceless get frustrated to the point where they channel their frustration through rioting.

Also Nea you are still trying to comparing prejudices and stereotypes to a tarnished reputation. Two completely different experiences also you make it seem like I think it is okay to do run someone's name through the mud. I am just saying it isn't as bad as actually getting arrested through profiling and being prevented basic necessities that you take for granted like housing and jobs.

it's a convenient rewriting of history to downplay the role of militancy in the fight for Civil Rights ie Black Panthers

Just as the Black Panthers were probably the largest radical socialist group the US has ever had

Both saw (correctly) that race and class are inseparable in the US

Yeah I'm not his biographer but I'm vaguely aware that he had some kind of socialist leanings. My point is that you're now using that as a feather in your communist cap to show off to the world while condemning people basically doing the same thing.

Kurdish Refugee Killed by Arabs in Germany for Smoking during Ramadan - basnews

Such a horrible story. The man escapes from the chaos and violence in Syria only to meet up with it in Germany. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
